How much Heat Sink (Thermal) paste is needed to fix an XBOX 360?
My Xbox gave me the over-heating error lately, months after my friend fixed it for me. I can't contact him, so I dissected the Xbox myself and found the problem.
On the bottom of the motherboard were four little chips, three had a blue thing stuck to them (Part of the fix, two pennies in electrical tape stuck on with thermal paste) and one had fallen off.
Now unfortunately they have all fallen off.
How much of this paste do I need? Thanks all.
enough to make it stick . if your doing that method of fix it just make sure the glue doesnt touch the other parts of the chip, the glue doesnt come of pretty easy so year you'll have to do monthly maybe weekly maintenance
