Choosing Glasses To Suit Your Face

New prescription glasses (or sunglasses) can alter your look. It's importabt to get the best shape and style of glasses to suit your face.  Glasses aren’t just devices to improve your vision (although that’s still their most important function), they’re a reflection of your character and personality.  You’ve got to feel good about wearing them.

Today there are a huge number of styles, shapes, materials and colours on offer. The choice can seem confusing.Consider also what image you want to present.  If you mostly wear glasses at work, then you might want to look at a more sober, traditional, classic pair of glasses. If you're an extravert, then go for bright colours!Whatever you decide, online retailer, SelectSpecs.com.suggests some general guidelines you might want to follow when choosing glasses to best suit your  shape of face.  These are just suggestions though – do try glasses on for comfort, style and feel and remember the only one you have to please is yourself!

Square Faces: generally have a broad, deep forehead, wide jaw line and square chin.Choose round or oval style frames to soften the jaw line.  Avoid thin or angular square frame styles and those with colour emphasis on the bottom rim.

Heart Shaped Faces: have a broad forehead tapering to a small chin and mouth.Best choice would be smaller styles with slender rounded frames. Avoid styles that have decorative details at the temple and reject those that are wider at the top. These will not balance your face.

Round Faces: are fairly short with a wide forehead, often with full cheeks and a rounded chin.Deep or square shapes will draw attention to your upper face.Choose a style with high set sides. To avoid you face looking rounder don't go for very large frames of small round shapes.

Oval Faces: tend to be well balanced and softly rounded. Your forehead will be slightly wide with a gently curving jaw and your cheekbones are high.Oval faces suit almost any style.Go for comfort first in a more modern, geometric style.

Long Faces: have high cheekbones and a deep forehead.Look at styles with an overall colour, wide frames and strong top line.Larger square frames will balance a long oval face.Small square designs will not look good.

Triangular Faces:  have a relatively narrow forehead and eye line, broadening into the jaw line.  Bold or adventurous glasses will add balance to this shape of face but you should steer clear of small narrow frames.

What is the small round stuff I see in the baseball player's back pocket?

I notice that some baseball players put something flat and round thing in their back pocket. Does anyone know what is that?

Their butt.

Hope this helps.

Quitter Daly deserves to be disciplined (New York Post)

SYDNEY -- Surely John Daly has disgraced golf for the last time. Daly, whose
world ranking has fallen to -- appropriately enough -- No. 666, was at his
petulant worst in the first round of the Australian Open, carelessly unloading
a small bucket of balls into the water on the...
