Heatsink fell off inside computer?

So I was opening up my case to clean out my fans and noticed a small silver heatsink laying free at the bottom of my case. I looked around and it looks like it fell off either the northbridge or southbridge, and when I touched what I thought it fell off it, the chip itself burned the tip of my finger. And I barely touched it. This can't be good, should I put it back on? And with what? Super glue?

You dont use super glue. You need a thermal adhesive. The super glue wont allow proper heat transfer. Here's what I use for permanently applying heatsinks to chips-
