Replace the Fan on your laptop
Your laptop's cooling system prevents your processor from getting too hot. A processor cooling system usually consists of a small fan and heat sink device. If the fan stops working, your processor is likely to overheat and cause significant motherboard damage as a direct result. On some laptop models, it is very easy to remove and clean the CPU fan, but on others you will need a skilled technician to do the job. Replacing the computer fan, for example of an Acer Travelmate, is very easy. This article will take you through the steps of how to repair a computer in order to keep it running cool.
1. Power down your Acer laptop. Unplug the AC power cable, and remove any external devices from the laptop. Close the display panel, and place the laptop face down with the front edge facing toward you. Slide the two laptop battery release buttons to the right. Remove the large battery pack from its compartment along the top edge of the laptop's bottom casing.
2. Remove the eight Phillips screws from the large hardware compartment cover on the right section of the laptop's bottom casing. This compartment houses much of your laptop's most important hardware devices and takes up the majority of your laptop's bottom casing. Remove the cover from the laptop.
3. Locate the large cooling fan assembly inside the hardware compartment. Disconnect its fan cable from the motherboard. Remove the five Phillips screws fastening the cooling fan to the motherboard. Slide the fan downward to disengage it from the processor chip. Then remove the entire cooling fan from the laptop.
4. Wipe any excess thermal grease from the processor's surface. Use a cotton swab to evenly apply a thin coat of thermal grease to the processor's surface before installing the new cooling fan.
5. You are now ready to put the fan back with the two screws and do not forget to reattach the connector. Do not torque down on the screws, you do not want to warp the motherboard underneath by making the screws too tight. Also when you replace the back cover, work your way around in a star pattern while tightening the five screws, this will help to get an even fit all the way around the cover.
6. Replace the hardware compartment cover and its eight Phillips screws. Place the Travelmate battery pack back inside the empty battery compartment. Press down on your Acer Travelmate battery until it snaps into place. Flip the laptop over. Reconnect all cables and devices to the laptop.

How To Build A Solar Greenhouse
What is the point in buying a beautiful plant if you can only have it for a little while? Although, those that have greenhouses do not have to suffer any of these tragic consequences. Owning a greenhouse has many benefits for you and for your plants.
If you do decide to hire outside help, be sure to check references carefully. Was it completed in a timely manner and did the contractor stick to the budget? The last thing you want is to hire some for a day's labor and then find yourself with a workers' compensation claim because they were injured on the job and the firm did not have insurance.
The only downside to starting from seeds is that you might have to invest a little bit of extra time to grow your plants. Growing a plant yourself from just a little seed is something to be a proud of. Plants that are most often started outside in the fall will require this type of cold treatment.
Greenhouses are great option if you wish to plant a wide range of plants for commercial purposes. After reading this article, you will be familiar with the requirements to build successful a successful commercial greenhouse. Having the right plans to build a small greenhouse is something that can really make your life much easier than it needs to be. These can include space and climate. Depending on the weather, you will also need to think about the materials to build your commercial greenhouses.
Greenhouses are often thought of as the exclusive preserve of the dedicated gardener. Favorite tender plants may also be safely over wintered. Although it will take time to repay the initial investment, great savings can be made by creating new stock in large numbers.
Cooling fans are another option for cooling a larger greenhouse. These pneumatic devices attach to windows or roof vents, and when the temperature inside the greenhouse reaches a certain level, they will automatically open the window or vent.
How to clean a small ventilation fan in the bathroom?
In the bathroom of my home- on the ceiling there is a heater lamp that has a small ventilation fan located underneath the bulb near the socket. When you look up at the ceiling you would see the heater lamp but the ventilation fan is not visible. The ventilation fan makes a lot of noise when it is running. Instead of replacing the fan at this time- I would like to clean the fan. After I removed the heater lamp bulb I see some wires and dust and I am not all that sure which one is the fan since it is so small. What is the best way to clean the fan without me causing any damage to anything?
To be Absolutely safe, start by determining which circuit is on and turning it off. It may be necessary bring a lamp on an extension cord into the bath at this point to see by.
The trim ring around the bulb may be held in place by springs or clips, figure out which and remove it. If you can see the fan, and it has a plug on the end of the wires your in luck. Just unplug it, remove the 2 screws on the support bar and remove it. Then wipe gently with your favorite with household cleaner. Put a little 3-in-one oil or such on the shaft and reinstall.
If not, you will have to do a little more work.
The housing may be held in place with screws or nails, hopefully screws. Remove them and lower the housing. Remove the back cover to access the fan and clean/lubricate as necessary.
Hope that covers the type of fixture you have.
